Twitter competitor and free speech social app Gab.com reports 750% increase in traffic; 18 million visits in the last 24 hours
In the wake of the Big Tech’s recent onslaughts on free speech, Twitter competitor and free speech social app Gab announced today it has seen a 750% increase in traffic to its website, with 18 million visits in the last 24 hours.
“Our traffic is up 753% in the past 24 hours. Tens of millions of visits,” said Gab CEO Andrew Torba in response to a question about slow loading speeds. Andrew added:
“If your business is built on the backs of Silicon Valley tyrants (Apple, Google, et al) they can and will attempt to destroy you if and when you become a threat to their interests. They did this to Gab. Then Fortnite. Now Parler. https://t.co/7QrZYZpqXA https://t.co/ApR7z1gciD

Within the past 48 hours, Google, Apple, and now Amazon, banned “free speech” social app Parler from their platforms. Just a couple of hours ago, Apple removed Parler from its iPhone App Store.
Apple made the announcement just a day after Google removed Parler from its Google Play. The two Big Tech giants removed Parley limiting its reach just as many conservatives are seeking alternatives to Big Tech. Parler is an alternative social media app to Twitter.
Now, millions of free-speech loving Americans are flocking to Gab.com. Disclose.TV, a video sharing said it gained about 230,000 followers since the site joined Gab. In a tweet, Disclose.TV wrote:
“Holy moly. We’ve got ~230k followers since we created our account yesterday on @getongab. Almost as many as on Twitter. Looking forward to the new servers coming online!”

Gab.com: Gab is one of the best alternative social apps to Twitter for those who want to fight Big Tech censorship and social media freedom. Gab.com is a social media website founded on the premise of promoting free speech. Gab dubbed itself as a platform to promote free speech and individual liberty.
Since the recent ban of Parler by Apple, Twitter, and Google, Gab says it’s gaining 10,000 new users every hour. Just like Twitter, Gab has a great user interface and probably a better user experience than Twitter.
Below is how Gab.com describes its recent success:
500,000+ new users today.
18 million visits.
You don’t need an account to use the site.
The Silicon Valley Exodus has begun.
