French startup Klassroom is revolutionizing the EdTech world with its new app

France-based startup Klassroom is a new startup that is revolutionizing the education technology world with their app. Klassroom is a web and mobile application reinventing the way parents and teachers communicate about the children and their activities by making it safer, more efficient and instant. The startup just raised €500K from Founders Program for their international expansion. Klassroom is also one of the first startups selected for the Founders Program. Klassroom has experienced 20 times increase in demand in only one year. Launched in September 2016, Klassroom has already won more than 600 schools and is accelerating its development. “Having been selected by Station F and its experts is a great opportunity for Klassroom. We are convinced that support, exchanges with other startups, and more generally the dynamics of Station F will stimulate our creativity and bring us even further,” Frank-David Cohen, co-founder of Klassroom: Station F was founded by Xavier Niel and it is based in Paris. It’s the world’s biggest startup campus.

Klassroom was born from the desire of the two founders Damien Rottemberg and Frank-David Cohen, both children’s dads in kindergarten, to modernize and improve the relationship between parents and teachers, especially when parents are divorced or not in touch. with the school environment. Convinced both of the need to improve this teacher-parent communication, they decided to launch the Klassroom project. Klassroom is revolutionary for parents. The app can be used at work, traveling or simply at home. With klassroom, both parents  can be involved and be aware of their child’s school life. The app has many use cases. It could be used to report an absence, a delay, a special care or request an appointment in one click and socialize with other parents through individual private chat. The app provides all the child’s school information in one place.

Klassroom was able to convince the panel of experts (more than 100 entrepreneurs in 21 countries) in charge of selecting the Founders program. The Founders program offers early-stage and ambitious start-ups a full-time campus office in the select community of entrepreneurs. As well as all the services of a classic support program: advice, support, training … Klassroom is the application that intends to reinvent communication between teachers and parents by making it instant, secure and much more effective. With this digital booklet, teachers can share students’ everyday life and classroom information, instantly addressing all parents in the classroom or individually. The application allows parents to ask the teacher a question, to inform him or her about the absence of their child, or to request an appointment. Klassroom also allows instant alerting in the event of a particular event or emergency.

Klassroom app is also perfect for teachers. Teachers no longer have to use communication notepads to send kids home with documents or to send lost emails to parents. With Klassroom, teachers can instantly and efficiently address a message to one or to all the parents. The app enables teachers to create one or more classes in seconds. The app security feature shows Class newsfeed / timeline available only to parents in the class. It also comes with admin users management (parent representatives, teacher assistant, director…), non-intrusive: parents can only contact teachers for very specific reasons (absence, lateness, appointments…) with ability to know who has read or not a post.
