There are widespread reports of hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area are begging for PPE and asking ordinary people to bring N95 masks to them. You’ve also probably heard of doctors and hospitals in New York City pleading for ventilators and N95 masks. However, Dr. Deborah L. Birx, the response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force, said: there is no present shortage of hospital beds, nor ventilators.”
Dr. Birx is a physician and diplomat who serves as the response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force as of March 2020.
