Twitter reaches over 500 million total active users just 5 months after Elon Musk takeover
In just five months after Elon Musk closed the $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, the popular social media platform reached a new milestone of over 500 million total active users. The news came just a week after Musk announced Twitter “exceeded 8 billion user-minutes per day.”
During the same five-month period, Twitter also became the most downloaded and #1 news app. In addition, Twitter also released new features in the shortest time period in Twitter’s history, even after the company had laid off 75% of its employees.
That’s not all. Twitter also improved its ad relevance, removed child porn, reduced child sexual exploitation, reduced bots, scams, and hate speech, improved engagements for advertisers, removed censorship, and also exposed the truth via Twitter files.
