Elon Musk accuses Twitter of suppressing his tweets: “My tweets are being suppressed!”
As Elon Musk’s battle with Twitter rages on over the $44 billion buyout deal, Tesla CEO called out Twitter yesterday saying that the social giant is suppressing his tweets. In a post on Twitter, Musk said, “My tweets are being suppressed!”
Musk also asked Twitter, the official account for Twitter Verified, and its CEO, Parag Agrawal, to address the issue.
Please fix @twitter, @verified, @paraga
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) September 13, 2022
Is Musk’s claim true? His tweets normally generate thousands of replies, likes, and shares or retweets. Although his tweet calling out Twitter received over 74,000 likes alone, some of his other Tweets today didn’t receive so much traction which is strange for an account with over 100 million followers.
What’s even stranger is that some of his emoji or punctuation responses have generated more engagement than some of his tweets today have.
TeslaRati cited one tweet that was perceived to have been suppressed by Twitter. The tweet was Elon’s reply to Andrea Stroppa, “who recently lost his verification status after taking measures to protect his account from hacked verified accounts promoting crypto scams.”
/8 To fix what Zatko affirms about Twitter security, hundreds of dollars of investments are needed in the infrastructure ASAP. Furthermore, Twitter risks future penalties and legal actions that could cost billions. As Zatko implicitly affirmed, Twitter doesn't worth $44 billion

As you can see from the above screenshot, Musk’s reply to Andrea’s tweet was only 1,284 three hours after the tweet was posted. So, the question is: Did Twitter suppress Musk’s reply because Andrea’s thread was focused on sharing what Peiter Zatko confirmed in front of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee? Just to show a comparison.
