Bayer donates 3 millions of tablets of chloroquine for the treatment of coronavirus
With scientists, researchers and pharmaceutical companies all working together in their fight against coronavirus, Now, Biopharma giant Bayer announced it is donating 3 million tablets of malaria medicine chloroquine, a 70-year old anti-malaria drug that’s available for cheap, according to Axios, which first reported news, citing a senior HHS official and another source with knowledge of the plan.
Bayer also confirmed the donation an a Twitter post: “Bayer today announced it is joining the U.S. Government’s fight against #COVID19 with a donation of 3 million tablets of the drug #Resochin (#chloroquine phosphate). New data, while limited, shows potential for the use of Resochin in treating patients with #COVID19 infection.”

As we reported last week, a new academic study presented by Thomas R. Broker, (Stanford PhD), James M. Todaro (Columbia MD), and Gregory J. Rigano, Esq., in consultation with Stanford University School of Medicine, UAB School of Medicine, and National Academy of Sciences researchers, shows that over the counter anti-malaria pills Chloroquine may be highly effective at treating coronavirus COVID-19.
Another controlled clinical study conducted by Didier Raoult M.D/Ph.D, et. al in France showed that 100% of patients that received a combination of Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin (antibiotic) tested negative and were virologically cured within 6 days of treatment.
