Elon Musk invited President Putin to chat with him on Clubhouse. Here is how Kremlin responded
Late last month, we wrote about Clubhouse, a new secretive invite-only social app that’s all the rage these days. Launched less than a year ago, Clubhouse allows users to spontaneously join group chats. You chat in real-time, share stories, collaborate, and bounce ideas off of each other using voice without the need for additional software or device.
The clubhouse has become one of the favorite apps among celebrities including our Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In a tweet over the weekend, Musk asked if the Kremlin would like to join him for a conversation on Clubhouse. “Would you like to join me for a conversation on Clubhouse?,” Musk asked.
On Monday, Kremlin replied back to Musk’s question. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Musk’s proposal for Russian President Vladimir Putin to join social networking app Clubhouse was interesting, but that it needed to see more details first.
.@KremlinRussia_E would you like join me for a conversation on Clubhouse?

In another tweet written in Russian language, Musk added:
было бы большой честью поговорить с вами

Meanwhile, Clubhouse was founded in March 2020 by Paul Davison and Rohan Seth. Just two months later, the app was already valued at around $100 million despite having just 1,500 users at the time. The clubhouse’s still in beta but Silicon Valley is already going crazy because celebrities and high-profile venture capitalists are promoting it.
