Open XDR innovator Stellar Cyber integrates with Deep Instinct for its unmatched attack prevention technology
Silicon Valley-based Open XDR innovator Stellar Cyber and New York-based cybersecurity company Deep Instinct have announced the integration of their protective solutions.
The collaboration will provide even more accurate detection, better response, and prevention of cyberattacks such as ransomware and malware — with an estimated 99% precision being brought to the Stellar Cyber platform.
This is excellent news for organizations with scaling infrastructures that are difficult to defend as they face a growing number of cyber incidents — especially if they already use Stellar Cyber or Deep Instinct technology.
That is, the partnership will combine Stellar Cyber’s key strengths (comprehensive threat intelligence data analysis used for threat detection and fast response times) with Deep Instinct’s deep learning tool honed for the prevention of threats.
Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR
Stellar Cyber has been integrating versatile security solutions under a single platform known as Open XDR. Once scattered and incompatible, the tools that the company has united within an umbrella platform include SOAR, EDR, SIEM, NRD, and more.
With the help of artificial intelligence that enables the automation of manual tasks and faster analysis of threat intelligence data, Stellar Cyber managed to catalog the information incoming from many and otherwise incompatible security tools.
This data is not only cataloged, but also correlated to any possible risks with the potential to escalate into cybersecurity incidents.
To identify threats with greater accuracy, Open XDR also utilizes machine learning that generates reports on the state of the security for the specific context of a company.
The integration of Deep Instinct’s prevention technology will enable companies that already use Stellar Cyber’s Open XDR to not only detect and respond to issues but also cover more points of attack and predict likely exploits.
Taking that into consideration, Deep Instinct’s cybersecurity solution is an essential piece of the puzzle that enables security analysts to comprehensively overview the entire attack surface.
“Deep Instinct’s cutting-edge technology adds a new level of automated attack prevention to the Stellar Cyber platform, which is especially important to our MSSP customers focused on reducing SOC analyst workloads,” said Andrew Homer, Vice President of Technology Alliances at Stellar Cyber. “As a result of this new integration with Deep Instinct, Stellar Cyber simply out-delivers EDR-based XDR platforms, with superior prevention, correlation, and response capabilities.”
Deep Instinct’s Application of Deep Learning to Security
Deep Instinct is the pioneer in the introduction of end-to-end deep learning principles to cybersecurity.
The main focus of the company has been the prevention of exploits with advanced AI-powered technology. Their prevention-first framework has helped companies to put a stop to threat actors, preventing both well-known (e.g. ransomware) and new incidents.
“Integrating with Stellar Cyber gives Deep Instinct customers access to the industry’s leading Open XDR platform for comprehensive analysis, correlation, and response across the entire attack surface,” said Brian Feeney, Vice President, Global Channels & Alliances at Deep Instinct. “Most prevention products do not consistently detect and prevent threats, while Deep Instinct brings prevention to the forefront.”
To nip the attacks in the bud, Deep Instinct uses deep learning to foresee zero-day exploits and strengthen security at all times. Deep learning takes the capabilities of AI and continual machine learning to the next level.
As its neural network receives more information, it can predict the attacks and discover flaws with greater accuracy. What’s more, it does so without needing continual manual updates from security professionals.
Stellar Cyber will use the information generated by the Deep Instinct’s solution to link it with the data that is coming from other cybersecurity tools united in its Open XDR platform.
In turn, Deep Instinct is going to aid Open XDR users to predict attacks with 99% accuracy and 0.1% false positives.
