Aeria Games Canada Partners With Ready Games to Bring Web3 Titles to Android
The popularity of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has led to the sudden explosion of decentralized play-to-earn games that provide rewards like NFTs and cryptocurrencies. It’s also a boom for gaming startups as they seize the opportunity to meet the growing demands through collaboration and partnerships with other tech game players.
One of those partnerships is with Aeria Games Canada and Ready Games. Today, Aeria Games Canada, one of North America’s leading mobile publishers, announced it is partnering with Ready Games to migrate its most successful titles to web3. The deal will see popular Aeria games enhanced with web3 features and re-released on Android.
Aeria specializes in high-quality mobile games, with 14 titles currently available in the app stores and 1 billion cumulative downloads on mobile. The Aeria Games catalog has a combined MAU of 2.5 million.
The first game to transition to web3 will be Rescue Robots: Sniper Survival. Ready Games’ expertise in repurposing games for web3 will enable the popular Aeria release to be enhanced with in-game assets represented as NFTs. This will create a secondary marketplace for trading game assets while allowing players to pursue different upgrade paths as they make their way through Rescue Robots.
With over 5 million downloads, a 4.3 app store rating, and approximately 250,000 monthly active players, Rescue Robots: Sniper Survival has proven a hit with mobile players. Migration of the title to web3 is now at an advanced stage. Beta testing with Ready’s web3 player community is scheduled to commence on December 1, 2022, ahead of a full global Android release expected in January.
“We are incredibly excited about our strategic partnership with Ready Games Network. Aeria Canada is accelerating the entrance into web3 using Ready’s infrastructure. Our mobile game users will be introduced to web3 – giving them access to ownership of NFT assets and tokens, new rewards and incentives”, said Jorge Flores, General Manager of Aeria Canada.
Ready Games’ turnkey solution for web2 to web3 conversion makes it easy for developers to capture the full value of blockchain-based gaming, without the need to master new skills.
David S. Bennahum, CEO of Ready Games, added: ”We are excited to support Aeria with their migration to web3 gaming, using our suite of live operations web3 gaming tools and innovative ecosystem token, AURA. Together we can further our shared mission of bringing web3-enabled mobile games to the millions, and eventually billions, of people who play games on their phones daily.”
Should the first collaboration between Aeria Games Canada and Ready Games prove a success, there are plans to repeat the feat for other popular titles in the former’s mobile catalog.
Christina Macedo, COO of Ready Games, concluded that “What sets Ready Games apart from any other solution is that it focuses on migrating existing mobile web2 games to web3, leveraging the game’s current players to combine both existing web2 players and web3 players.”
