Israeli security startup Opus emerges from stealth with $10M in funding to disrupt Cloud SecOps and remediation processes

With virtually all organizations now running their major applications in the cloud, the security protection of these applications is now more critical than ever. According to a 2019 Data Breach Investigations Report, cloud applications continue to be the leading cause of security breaches.

To address this threat, enterprises are beginning to focus more on cloud security operations (SecOps) to quickly identify, react to, and recover from attacks on an organization’s assets. Today, Opus emerged from stealth with $10 million in seed funding led by YL Ventures with participation from Tiger Global and renowned security executives and serial entrepreneurs, including George Kurtz, co-founder, CEO and President of CrowdStrike.

Other backers include Udi Mokady, co-founder, Chairman and CEO of CyberArk; Dan Plastina, former Head of AWS Security Services; Oliver Friedrichs, co-founder and former CEO of Phantom Cyber, acquired by Splunk; and Alon Cohen, co-founder and former CTO of Siemplify, acquired by Google Cloud, among others.

Founded was founded in 2022 by experienced security professionals, Meny Har, CEO and Or Gabay, CTO, who were part of the founding team and leadership of SOAR pioneer Siemplify (acquired by Google). Opus connects existing tools and relevant stakeholders and orchestrates the entire response and remediation processes across the organization. Through its platform, Opus enables cloud security teams to see beyond alerts and threats and gain control, knowledge, and capabilities to resolve them.
