MonkeyLeague NFTs selected to be part of OpenSea’s BETA on Solana
The popularity of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has grown over the past year. In just two years, NFTs have grown from under $100 million in 2020 to surpass $40 billion in 2021. The NFT market cap is now forecast to reach over $80 billion by 2025. A majority of these NFTs are sold at OpenSea, the world’s first and largest digital marketplace for crypto collectibles.
The growing popularity of NFTs has also opened opportunities for companies to build their ecosystems integrated into blockchain networks like Solana, one of the fastest-growing NFT ecosystems in the world, and among the most requested chains by the OpenSea community.
Early this month, OpenSea announced it was working on a BETA for the Solana network to enable users to buy, sell and transfer Solana NFTs using OpenSea. In addition, OpenSea has also selected a handful of NFT collections to be featured as part of its BETA on Solana. One of the selected NFT collections is MonkeyLeague, a next-generation play-to-earn esports game.
The decision by OpenSea is a testament to the quality of MonkeyLeague NFTs and the ecosystem. It is also a massive milestone for the MonkeyLeague team. Unlike other NFTs, MonkeyLeague combines high-production value, multiplayer gaming with Solana blockchain, NFTs, and decentralized finance to deliver an exciting, turn-based, play-and-earn soccer game that’s easy to learn yet hard to master.
According to its website, each Monkey NFT is generated with its’ own unique genetic composition, formulated from 32 traits, ranging from Common to Rare to Epic to Legendary.
For those that aren’t familiar, OpenSea is an Ethereum-native NFT marketplace. Since it is open-source, it is also prone to fake and scam collection pages, users need to remain highly vigilant when shopping on OpenSea.
MonkeyLeague is currently working closely with OpenSea to verify the final bunches of Gen Zero Monkey NFTs and our collection page. The MonkeyLeague team will update once that’s complete.
To celebrate MonkeyLeague’s selection into OpenSea’s BETA, MonkeyLeague will be raffling off a stacked Gen Zero Monkey NFT. There’s only one catch: You have to follow them on Twitter and retweet their OpenSea tweet to be eligible.
Founded in 2021, MonkeyLeague combines high-production-value, multiplayer gaming with Solana blockchain, NFTs, and decentralized finance to deliver an exciting, turn-based, play-and-earn soccer game that’s easy to learn yet hard to master.
