NUAIR and South Korea-based PABLO AIR to Collaborate on Drone Delivery Solutions
South Korea-based PABLO AIR looks to NUAIR and Central New York’s hi-tech ecosystem to expand commercial drone operations in the United States
NUAIR and PABLO AIR, a South Korea-based drone service provider, have signed a memorandum of understanding to help develop regulatory compliant commercial drone solutions for United States clients. PABLO AIR will utilize NUAIR’s expertise in advanced commercial drone operations to align PABLO AIR systems to U.S. business models and practices that are compliant with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. PABLO AIR’s participation in the Central New York uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) community will further strengthen the local ecosystem and attribute to the global success and integration of scalable, economically viable commercial drone operations.
“PABLO AIR has successful conducted maritime drone flights at Incheon International Airport, South Korea which integrated both Unmanned Traffic Management (UTM) and Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems, a key component in keeping the airways safe,” said NUAIR CEO Ken Stewart. “This cross-country collaboration to safely integrate uncrewed aircraft into the national airspace will help unlock the true potential of commercial drone operations.”
“This MOU, held at NUAIR headquarters in Syracuse, New York, is the first local collaboration since last year when we secured exclusive rights with EVA to conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) drone deliveries in New York, discussing various collaboration measures necessary to expand business and R&D in the United States. We hope to introduce PABLO AIR’s drone ground control system and drone delivery platform in the U.S. as soon as possible for the first time as a Korean company,” said PABLO AIR CEO Kim Young-Joon.
PABLO AIR systems provide complete solutions for multiple UAS use-cases including package delivery, linear inspection, and public service. PABLO AIR will initially focus on conducting long-range beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) commercial drone operations in the U.S. market and is collaborating with NUAIR towards BVLOS permission for PABLO AIR to conduct high value, time-critical cargo delivery within New York’s 50-Mile Drone Corridor.
NUAIR continues to align itself with organizations that share in the overall goal of safely integrating uncrewed aircraft into the national airspace. PABLO AIR is a great, international addition to the NUAIR Alliance which collaborates on projects that advance the UAS and Advanced Air Mobility industries including standards development, product testing, drone integration, real-life use-case scenarios, and more.
