Top Israeli Health Official Now Says at Least 7 Booster Shots Will Be Needed To Be Fully Vaccinated
On Wednesday, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said four covid vaccine doses may be needed sooner than expected to fight the Omicron variant. In an interview with CNBC’, Bourla said, “When we see real-world data, will determine if the omicron is well covered by the third dose and for how long. And the second point, I think we will need a fourth dose.”
However, getting four vaccine doses may be good news for people living in the US. People living in Israel may have to get as many as seven doses if the statement from the top Israeli health official is to be believed. On Sunday, the Israel Ministry of Health announced it will soon approve the 4th vaccine shot. According to Dr. Eli David, Researcher, Lecturer, and Co-Founder of DeepInstinctSec, this means that all those with 3 shots who don’t get the 4th shot will have their Covid passes revoked.
Then the following day, Monday, December 6, Professor Arnon Afek, the Deputy-Director of the largest hospital in Israel who is also a member of Ministry of Health committee for approving vaccines, made the following statement:
“Those who think we won’t need to take more boosters are wrong. We will need to take the 4th shot, the 5th shot, the 6th shot, and the 7th shot.”
Dr. Eli David also confirmed Professor Afek’s statement in a Twitter post below.

Meanwhile, there is a growing demand for Israelis to be given a booster dose of the covid vaccine to protect the people from the Omicron variant. Two recent studies published in the New England Journal of Medicine also shed more light on the impact of Pfizer/BioNTech booster doses in Israel. The first shows that the risk of mortality due to the covid-19 virus was relatively 90% lower in people who received the third dose at least 5 months after the second dose compared with those who didn’t receive a booster.
