Double vaccinated and no underlying health conditions Emmy winner died of Covid at 53
Emmy winner and hair and makeup artist Marc Pilcher died of COVID-19 on Sunday at the age of 53. Pilcher was double vaccinated and had no underlying health conditions, according to a report from New York Post, citing his agency Curtis Brown.
Pilcher’s family told Variety in a statement via Curtis Brown saying, “It is with the deepest of hearts we confirm that Marc Elliot Pilcher, Academy Award Nominee and Emmy Award-winning hair and makeup designer/stylist, passed away after a battle with Covid-19 on Sunday 3rd October 2021.”
According to Variety, Pilcher took and tested negative on multiple COVID-19 tests to make the trip across the Atlantic and back again for the ceremony. The Magazine said that not long after his return that he took ill and his condition deteriorated over the weekend. He died on Sunday.

Marc was so passionate about his work and so tremendously talented. Not even a month ago he won his first Emmy award.
Variety wrote:
“The news comes just three weeks after the U.K.-based stylist — who was double vaccinated and had no underlying health conditions — picked up a Creative Emmy statuette in Los Angeles for his work on the Netflix series.”

“It’s a tragedy that he’s been taken so young when he had so much yet to do. Please also use this as a reminder that Covid is still a very real and present danger, please get vaccinated and mask up to protect yourself and others,” she tweeted. “My heart goes out to his friends and family, especially to his wonderful team Lynda, Lou, Adam, Hollie, Tanya and Claire. He loved and cared for you all so much and my heart goes out to you all. Rest in Peace Marc.”
