Big tech censorships reach new heights as Twitter now blocks content even before they’re posted, calling them “harmful”

We’re now in uncharted territory as big tech companies control the news we hear and the content we see online. As the 19th-century British historian Lord Acton once said, “Power tends to corrupt. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Here in the United States, big tech companies are now so powerful that they think they can do whatever they want to do without any consequences or penalties.

Earlier today we wrote about Facebook after the social giant censored sourced reporting from the New York Post’s story about bombshell emails and video obtained from Hunter Biden’s laptop. Now, Twitter is following suit. Since the news broke, Twitter users immediately tweeted the news and it’s now one of the most trending news with hashtags #HunterBiden.

However, Twitter is not giving up just yet. Just less than an hour ago, Twitter decided to block any tweet pointing to the article on the New York Post website. Below is a video of a Twitter user @abigailmarone who tried to post the article. Instead, she received the message: “Your Tweet couldn’t be sent because this link been identified by Twitter our partners as being potentially harmful. Visit our Help Center to learn more.”

Abigail is not alone. Sohrab Ahmari, Op-ed editor at New York Post made a similar complaint. In a tweet, Ahmari said:

“This is a Big Tech information coup. This is digital civil war. I, an editor at The New York Post, one of the nation’s largest papers by circulation, can’t post one of our own stories that details corruption by a major-party presidential candidate, Biden.”
