WHO flip flops on lockdowns: WHO now says lockdowns are a bad idea and calls on world leaders to not use lockdowns as their ‘primary control method’ for the pandemic
The World Health Organization (WHO) has been calling on lockdown as one of the critical measures to control the spread of coronavirus since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Now for the first time in eight months, the WHO is changing its tune. As President Trump once said, the coronavirus cure cannot ‘be worse than the problem itself’
Over the weekend, WHO special envoy Dr. David Nabarro said the lockdowns are a bad idea and called on world leaders to not use lockdowns as their ‘primary control method’ for the pandemic. Dr. Nabarro warned seven months too late that the ubiquitous global response to the coronavirus pandemic might be a bit of an oopsie-daisy.”
Dr. Nabarro warned that “lockdowns just have one consequence that you must never ever belittle, and that is making poor people an awful lot poorer.”
