Facebook’s Zuckerberg deserves credit; Zuckerberg is the only tech CEO willing to admit that China is stealing U.S. technology with impunity. Apple and Google CEOs say no, Bezos says he’s “read some reports”
Kudos to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for saying what millions of Americans already knew about the China government. It’s well documented that the Chinese has been stealing American technology for many years. During a hearing today on Capitol Hill, executives from tech giants Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google testified before Congress virtually.
As the interview progressed, Rep. Greg Steube from Florida asked if the tech executives believe the Chinese government was stealing technology from US companies. “Do you believe the Chinese government steals technology from U.S. companies?” Steube asked.
While Google’s Sundar Pichai and Apple’s Tim Cook said they were unaware of any issues of China stealing technology from from their companies, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg said he believes it is “well-documented” that the Chinese government steals technology from U.S. companies. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos says he’s “read some reports”
