Dr. Fauci Warns: ‘We shouldn’t assume hydroxychloroquine is a knockout drug,’ even as many said the malaria drug saved their lives

Dr. Anthony Fauci is back with his gloom and doom message. Just last week, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said there could be between 100,000 to 200,000 deaths and millions of cases in the country.

Now he is back with another ominous message. In an interview on Fox News, Dr. Fauci warned we shouldn’t assume hydroxychloroquine is a “knockout drug” in preventing or treating COVID-19, even as many coronavirus patients credit the malaria drug to have saved their lives. In addition, a global survey of 6,227 physicians in 30 countries found that 37% of those treating COVID-19 patients rated hydroxychloroquine as the “most effective therapy” from a list of 15 options.

“We still need to do the definitive studies to determine whether any intervention, not just this one, is truly safe and effective,” Dr. Fauci, White House health advisor, said on Fox News. “But when you don’t have that information, it’s understandable why people might want to take something anyway even with the slightest hint of being effective.”

Many respected experts have criticized Dr. Fauci gloom and doom message. About two weeks ago,  MIT Biologist doubles down his attack on “Deep State,” slamming Dr. Anthony Fauci as “Deep State Emperor Fauci.”
