AI-based healthtech startup Jvion partners with Microsoft to build COVID Community Vulnerability Map that shows populations at risk for severe outcomes once infected

With coronavirus continues to spread around across the United States, Jvion, an Atlanta, Georgia-based AI-based healthtech startup, has created a COVID Community Vulnerability Map, in partnership with Microsoft Azure Maps. The map allows you to search and drill down into communities to view populations most vulnerable for severe outcomes if infected with a COVID-like virus and the socioeconomic factors driving that risk.

According to Jvion, the information provided in the map is the result of the internal analysis of 30 million de-identified patient records from within the Jvion AI CORE. Results were modeled on respiratory viruses with features and symptoms similar to COVID. The data for reported cases is updated daily from The New York Times.

Founded in 2011 by Shantanu Nigam, the Johns Creek, Georgia-based Jvion helps healthcare systems and providers prevent harm and lower costs through its AI-enabled prescriptive analytics solution. The Jvion Machine goes beyond simple predictive analytics to identify patients on a trajectory to becoming high risk and for whom intervention will likely be successful.
