Andrew Yang drops out of presidential race
Andrew Yang, a respected tech leader and founder of Venture for America founder, has dropped out of the presidential race. The announcement ends his ambition, this time around, for the president of the United States.
For some of you following Andrew Yang, back in June 2019 Andrew Yang promised to give away $1,000 per month for the next 12 months to anyone who retweets his tweet and follows him by July 4th, 2019. During the last Democratic’s debate, Andrew Yang’s reiterated his plan to pay ten American families $1,000 a month for a year as a model for his universal basic income.
Yang is also popular for his idea of giving $1,000 check every month to every American between ages 18-64. Before running for president of United States, Yang worked in startups and early stage growth companies as a founder or executive for nearly two decades. Yang, 43, was born in upstate New York in 1975.
