PAL-V Liberty, the world’s first flying car, is now on sale in the US
The world’s first ‘fly and drive’ car has arrived in the United States. PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle) was unveiled in Miami on Tuesday night during the pre-grand opening of the art exhibit “Paramount: The Art of Innovation and Design” as part of the 30th annual Miami Art Week.
PAL-V is manufactured by a Dutch startup that is involved in the development of the first commercial flying car, the PAL-V Liberty. It is a compact two-person aircraft that can travel on public roads.
The PAL-V Pioneer is already in production and selling for $599,000 with 70 flying cars already sold – is equipped with retractable overhead and rear propellers and tail wings, and can cruise at an altitude as high as 12,500 feet. Using automobile gasoline instead of jet fuel, it reaches speeds of 200 miles per hour in the air and 100 miles per hour on the ground.
