Tesla has received 200,000 orders for its Cybertruck, despite a rocky launch
Tesla is not your normal tech company. Its botched debut last week could have sunk a traditional company. But not Tesla. 24 hours after the botched debut, Tesla CEO Elon Musk took to social media to announce the company has received 200,000 orders for its electric pickup truck Cybertruck. “200k,” Musk tweeted. Cybertruck was well received by Tesla diehards.

A day earlier, Musk tweeted that Tesla had received “146,000 orders for its Cybertruck orders, with 42% choosing dual, 41% tri & 17% single motor.”
As for the broken windows, apparently something went wrong during the launch. Tesla’s chief designer, Franz von Holzhausen, tested the armored windows a day before the launch without the window breaking. Tesla said in another tweet, “Franz throws steel ball at Cybertruck window right before launch. Guess we have some improvements to make before production haha.”
