3Dsimo Multipro Exceeds Funding Goal to Bring 7-in-1 Handheld Workshop to Life
It’s a 3Dprinter! It’s a welding station! No, it’s 3Dsimo! Introducing the multifunctional workshop that can fit in your pocket. The 3Dsimo Multipro is a 7-in-1 device, offering the ability to 3D print, solder, weld, cut wire or it can act as your jigsaw, drill, or electric screwdriver.
Ideal for makers of all trades, 3Dsimo Multipro can bring your dreams to life without breaking the bank. “What matters to us is the quality of our products, as well as the usability of our products in everyday life.” says founder David Paškevič. “At the same time, we are modernizing workshop equipment to the 21st century.” “Users can easily switch out attachments and the device will automatically register which one you’re using. Then, you can set the speed of extrusion, temperature, and material. Not only that, but you can use any 3D printer material on the market.”
Available for pre-order on Indiegogo, 3Dsimo is already well past their funding goal and backers have a choice between two products. 3Dsimo Multipro comes equipped with 3 of the attachments with the choice to add on up to 7 total. The other product available is 3Dsimo Kit 2, a 3d-printed device with the same possibilities, but it’s open-source. Anyone with a 3Dprinter can print the attachments for free on 3Dsimo’s Github.
3Dsimo isn’t new to the game, either. The company was founded in 2014 and has sold more than 40,000 units of their previous models and are globally recognized for their innovative products. The team also states that their plan is to allow consumers to install future devices updates via their smartphone and will have the ability to purchase attachments separately.
Right now you can get the Multipro for $99 and the Kit 2 for $59. However, keep in mind, this is early-bird pricing. You can check out the Indiegogo campaign here.
