Datadog acquires AI-powered automated app-testing startup Madumbo
Datadog, a tech startup that provides monitoring and analytics platform for modern cloud environments, has acquired Madumbo, an AI-based automated application testing platform. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2010 by Alexis Lê-Quôc and Olivier Pomel, the New York-based Datadog offers a monitoring service for hybrid cloud applications, assisting organizations in improving agility, increasing efficiency, and providing end-to-end visibility across the application and organization. These capabilities are provided on a SaaS-based data analytics platform that enables Dev, Ops and other teams to accelerate go-to-market efforts, ensure application uptime, and successfully complete digital transformation initiatives. Since inception, Datadog has been adopted by more than 7,000 enterprises including companies like Activision, AT&T, Deloitte, Peloton, Samsung, Seamless, The Washington Post, T-Mobile, Turner Broadcasting, and Whole Foods.
Based in France and founded just two years ago, Madumbo is a SaaS solution allowing you to check all the defaults of your website automatically. Madumbo’s solution provides completely automated website-testing that is fast and code-free. Madumbo’s AI-powered bot checks for errors using code run on a real browser, capturing the same defects seen by actual customers while surfacing the details required to fix those errors in an intuitive, private dashboard. The Madumbo team has joined the Datadog Paris R&D office and are currently working on new products which will be announced later this year.
We’re excited to have the Madumbo team join Datadog,” said Olivier Pomel, CEO of Datadog. “They’ve built a sophisticated AI platform that can quickly determine if a web application is behaving correctly. We see their core technology strengthening our platform and extending into many new digital experience monitoring capabilities for our customers.”
“Joining Datadog and bringing Madumbo’s AI-powered testing technology to its platform is an amazing opportunity,” said Gabriel-James Safar, CEO of Madumbo. “We’ve long admired Datadog and its leadership, and are excited to expand the scope of our existing technology by integrating tightly with Datadog’s other offerings.”
