Zenjob raises €15 million in Series B Funding for product development and global expansion. Zenjob, a Berlin, Germany-based on-demand staffing platform, raised €15 million in Series B funding for technological product development and expansion of the business across Germany and beyond. The round was led by AXA Venture Partners, with participation from current investors Acton Capital Partners, Redalpine, and Atlantic Labs. Founded by Fritz Trott, Cihan Aksakal and Frederik Fahning in 2015, Zenjob has more than 160 employees from 17 different countries. Zenjob provides large and medium-sized businesses with a platform to find on-demand student staff. Zenjob has created a platform for Automated Technologies and Processes that requires on-demand staffing. Through its app, ZenJob offers side jobs for students in Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Cologne and Dusseldorf.
Logical Clocks nabs €1.25 million in seed funding to accelerate innovation. Logical Clocks, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup that provides Enterprise support for the open-source Hopsworks platform to solve the data problem for Deep Learning and AI, has raised €1.25m in seed funding to scale engineering to accelerate innovation, while focusing on building out the customer base. The round was led by Timo Tirkkonen of Inventure, now chairman of the board, with participation from Frontline Ventures, and AI Seed. Logical Clocks was founded in 2016 by Assoc. Prof Jim Dowling, Prof Seif Haridi and a team of researchers at KTH University and RISE SICS in Stockholm that created and continues to drive Hops, the world’s most scalable and advanced Hadoop platform, and Hopsworks, the Data and AI platform for Hops. Logical Clocks’ vision is to simplify the process of refining data into intelligence at scale.Logical Clocks has offices in Stockholm, London, and Palo Alto and serves several customers in a variety of verticals from finance, to the vehicle industry, to telecoms, and healthcare.
Cleardata raises $26 million in funding. ClearDATA, an Austin, Texas-based security and compliance expert in the healthcare cloud, completed a $26m financing round to expand product innovation and sales and marketing resources. Investors include Humana Inc. and Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), which operates Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans in Illinois, Montana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, and returning investors Norwest Venture Partners, Merck GHIF, Excel Venture Management, Heritage Group, HLM Venture Partner and Flare Capital Partners. ClearDATA is the trusted managed cloud provider, designed for today’s healthcare security needs. Founded in 2o11 by Carl Kunkleman, Christopher G. Bowen, Darin Brannan, and David G. Feedr secures £1.54 million in Pre-Series A funding. Feedr, a London, UK-based intelligent lunch platform startup that uses technology to offer office employees personalised meals from healthy food suppliers, has raised £1.535m in pre-Series A funding to invest in technology to improve the online user experience and plan expansion outside of London. Founded in 2016 by entrepreneurs Riya Grover and Lyz Swanton, Feedr is a scalable technology platform empowering healthy and artisan food vendors to produce and supply meals for the workplace. It provides a marketplace for businesses to provide employees with personalized meals from independent food suppliers including Deliciously Ella, Farmstand, We Grill, Potage, Maple & Fitz and more. The company’s Cloud Canteen platform allows employers to fully or partly subsidise employee meals, for under £5, daily. TO date, Feedr has served employees at over 400 companies including AirBnB, Etsy, DHL and PwC.
Jump Technologies secures $2 million in Follow-on Series B Funding. Jump Technologies, a hospital supply chain solutions provider startup, has secured a $2m follow-on Series B funding to expand its national sales and product development efforts. The round was led by Black Granite Capital with participation from Mount Sinai Ventures and two large investors. The company intends to use the funds to expand its national sales and product development efforts. The latest funding brings the total amount raised in the round to $5.5 million. Led by John Freund, CEO, Jump Technologies delivers a cloud-based hospital supply chain software solution called JumpStock, which integrates with any ERP system to allow hospitals to save money and improve clinical outcomes. JumpStock integrates into clinical workflows and delivers reports that allow clinicians and supply chain professionals make informed decisions about supply utilization throughout their facilities – including high-cost areas like operating and procedure rooms.
