Humaniq and Prover announce partnership to give App users new confidence in 21st Century economy

London, May 17, 2018 – London-based Fintech firm Humaniq today announces the signing of an MOU with Prover, an independent assistant that helps authenticate and verify video content, providing the Humaniq App community with options to significantly improve privacy and security.

The partnership aims to tackle head on the widespread distrust that prevents people from participating in the new economy in the ten markets in Sub-Saharan Africa it operates in – and provides fertile soil for a peer-to-peer economy to flourish. Prover.io technology will allow Humaniq to eliminate the forgery of video materials and confirm their authenticity to protect the App users’ every day safety as they meet people, obtain information and do business online. The new App service is a vital part of Humaniq plans to give people confidence in the 21st Century economy while tackling high levels of financial exclusion. The move builds further on existing safety features including a secure messenger with E2E encryption, bio-identification, live support chat and wallet secured by a Hybrid Blockchain.

The new partnership equips App users with a tool to verify the authenticity of a user-generated video in which events and information are provided. The service guarantees that a video is unique using a swipe-code generated on the Blockchain when a user makes use of the new service. When the video is recording, the user moves his phone following a swipe code on the screen, providing a user’s ‘digital signature’ on his or her video. Prover saves the ‘hash’ of data relating to a video file authenticity confirmation of events and facts on the Blockchain at the end of each recording.
