CarWink is reinventing the way drivers communicate with each other on the road
We’ve all witnessed it during our commute hours, road rage, drivers yelling at other drivers. You might ask, is there not a way to better communicate with other drivers? CarWink reinvents the way drivers communicate with each other while minimizing road rage. It is a solar-powered smart gadget that helps you communicate with other drivers more conveniently. It is a solution from a small startup, Innovart Design. CarWink comes with hands-free voice control that lets you inform people behind you when there is an accident or other issues in front of you. You get a bunch of fun emojis to choose from with more in the works. Innovart Design developed the gadget to help drivers better communicate when on the road. It is the world’s first car device that allows you to communicate with other drivers through animation. CarWink has been featured on major news stations, including NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox News.
CarWink is designed with both form and function in mind, CarWink sets out to break the boundary between vehicles by using simple and pure communication methods. Gone are the days of rude hand gestures, sailor mouths and reckless driving. With CarWink’s hands-free voice control, drivers can now use a wide variety of emojis to communicate with one another. CarWink’s voice control allows drivers to experience seamless driving. All you have to do is sync your CarWink device with the mobile App and everything is ready to go. CarWink’s unique design comes in a uni-body spherical shape. The device can be opened in half with the upper half being an adhesive suction cup and the lower half housing the LED screen. The LED screen on CarWink displays different emojis to drivers at the rear of the vehicle. User’s are able to choose from a variety of emojis such as happy, unamused, slow down, need help, pedestrian ahead, and even have a great day.
CarWink has currently raised $81,227 on KickStarter from 544 backers with 12 more days to days to go. They have already exceeded the $80,000 funding goal required to finalize production. CarWink is currently available on Kickstarter for $79. Innovart Design was formed in 2015 with a team backed by decades of combined experience in art and technology spaces. Co-founders, Wei Cheng Chou and Caitlyn Hung approach design through the observation of everyday user behavior and tailoring it to satisfy both functional and intimate needs.
