1. Axios Raises $20 Million From Investors. The news media startup Axios has raised a $20 million round of second-round funding from a range of investors, including WndrCo, the tech and media investment company formed by Jeffrey Katzenberg
2. Pulsar Venture Capital announces ICO to revolutionize startup and business acceleration.  Pulsar Venture Capital is changing the face of venture funding and business acceleration is changing with blockchain technology, enabling startups to tokenize their services and assets in exchange for funding.
3. A Blockchain tech startup uses blockchain to stop plastic pollution. The Glasgow-based startup Blockchain Development Company (BCDC), is planning to use blockchain to prevent plastic contamination. The new initiative gives companies and consumers the opportunity to offset their plastic footprint with investments in new plastic solutions.
4. Williams-Sonoma to buy San Jose imaging and AR startup for $112M. Luxury home goods retailer Williams-Sonoma is buying a San Jose-based 3-D imaging and augmented reality startup for $112 million in cash, it said Friday.
5. Floyd, a Detroit-based furniture startup wants to dethrone Ikea. Floyd received $5 million in series A funding this year to compete with Ikea..Floyd is a direct-to-consumer furniture company targeted at urban dwellers founded  by Kyle Hoff  and Alex O’Dell.
6. Logistics startup Shadowfax posts three-fold rise in FY17 revenue. The India-based B2B logistics startup, Shadowfax Technologies, posted gross revenue of Rs 34.07 crore for the year through March 2017, up more than three times from Rs 9.8 crore the year before.
7. Y Combinator plans to fund 18 Indian startups this year. President of most influential startup incubator of Silicon Valley Y Combinator, Sam Altman, is increasing its bid on India by 2x at a time when many sponsors have gone sluggish.
8. Lebanese private tutoring app Synkers raises seed funding from Phoenician Funds. Synkers, a peer-to-peer private tutoring app, announced that it has recently closed its first seed funding with Phoenician Funds, following its graduation from Speed@BDD’s acceleration program in July 2016.
9. Holographic headset startup lands $7M. CY Vision, a San Jose startup developing computational holography for augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) headsets, says it has closed a $7 million round of series A funding.
10. Ed-tech startup Perspectico gets seed funding from Delhi govt-backed incubator. Delhi-based education-technology startup Perspectico has raised an undisclosed amount of seed funding from SSCBS Innovation and Incubation Foundation (SIIF).
