101Hero emphasizes its easy of use and it does seem that way from their videos. You can download one of thousands lab tested G-code files from their website. Then you save it to an SD card, insert the SD card and press print. Imagine being able to print a toy for your child on the spot or being able to make gifts in the comfort of your home for family and friends.
101Hero is also safe for kids of all ages to use. However, as with any device, it is always good to supervise children to make sure they understand how to use the printer. As with any 3D printer, there are supplies that are needed. You can use PLA, HIPS or ABS, as well as their custom 101Hero filament spools or other standard 1.75 mm filament spools available on the market. The company states they specially made a number of 101Hero filament spools so that people can print with more materials and color choices. The 101 Hero can also be used with any Windows, Mac, or Linux based computer; Compatible with USB connection or SD Card. It supports open-source software such as Slic3r or Cura (for advanced users).
