Elon Musk’s SpaceX—the leader in rocket launches and high-speed satellite internet through Starlink—is gearing up for a tender offer in December, offering existing shares at $135 each, according to an exclusive report from The Financial Times citing insider sources.

At this valuation, SpaceX sees its worth climb to $250 billion, up $40 billion from earlier this year. While the company did not respond to a request for comment, the increase highlights SpaceX’s steady rise in market value as it continues to dominate the space industry.

“SpaceX plans a tender offer in December, selling existing shares at $135 each, elevating the company’s valuation to over $250 billion. This marks a substantial rise from its previous valuation of $210 billion earlier this year,” Reuters reported, citing The Financial Times.

The tender offer announcement comes shortly after SpaceX unveiled its “Marslink” proposal to NASA. Marslink is designed to establish a high-speed internet connection between Earth and Mars, capable of transmitting data at 4 Mbps across 1.5 astronomical units. This initiative aligns with Musk’s long-term vision of colonizing Mars and making humanity an interplanetary species.

SpaceX’s Starship is also central to NASA’s Artemis program, which aims to use the rocket for moon missions as a stepping stone for Mars exploration. With this momentum, Musk’s Mars ambitions may gain even greater traction under a U.S. administration prioritizing deep-space missions.
