Agents.ai, a new generative AI startup, acquired domain name Agents.ai for $125,000 to offer ultimate fleet of AI agents
The artificial intelligence (AI) boom sparked by the launch of ChatGPT in November 2022 last year shows no signs of abating as investors continue to pour billions into generative AI startups hoping to find the next big winner. Joining this wave is Agents.AI, a generative AI startup backed by venture capital firm B21 Capital.
With the AI boom picking up steam, Agents.ai has just launched its next-generation AI agent platform to help “increase business productivity for SMBs, business owners, and enterprises,” the startup said on its website. But what makes the launch more noteworthy is that B21 Capital reportedly bought a matching domain name Agents.ai for a massive $125,000, making it the biggest publicly reported .AI domain sale to date.
According to DNJournal, a reputable domain news outlet that first reported the news, the sale of Agents.ai is also the highest ccTLD sale reported so far in 2023.
In a press release sent to DNJournal, B21 Capital said that “Agents.ai provides the ultimate fleet of AI agents designed to empower small and medium-sized businesses by automating repetitive tasks and enabling teams to focus on high-impact growth initiatives. With a vision to transform business productivity through the power of AI, Agents.ai leverages AI technology to eliminate repetitive tasks, streamline operations, enhance productivity, and drive overall business.”
The release added, “AI growth has hit an inflection point where intelligence and accuracy is growing exponentially with costs coming down significantly on the verge of permanently transforming every industry with more revenue and greater cost savings. Democratizing AI access is Agents.ai’s major priority for the upcoming year along with accelerating AI transformation for companies.”
B21 Capital highlighted that its executive team comprises a group of engineers, including individuals with prior experience at Google and Microsoft. These experts specialize in developing AI/Machine Learning workflows tailored for enterprise applications. On the marketing front, B21 has enlisted veterans from the AI/ML healthtech and fintech sectors who have a proven track record of driving growth and managing revenues exceeding $100 million annually, while also acquiring a user base of over 2 million paid customers.
According to B21’s statement, their team has established strong relationships with enterprise clients who currently utilize hundreds of thousands of offshore workers. In addition, the company’s release stated, “The team is currently engaged in pilot programs with select clients to assess the impact of AI agents, with the goal of creating comprehensive case studies that will revolutionize every industry the company ventures into.”
