2. Forever 21 hack reveals payment card data. The clothing retailer says hackers compromised point of sale devices at stores for a good part of the year.
3. Unicorn startup, Uber, faces new lawsuit by female passengers alleging rape. Two women say the ride-hailing company hasn’t done enough to protect riders from sexual assault by drivers.
4. Farming startup uses blockchain to guarantee food quality. Ripe, a blockchain startup, now wants to integrate blockchain technology with farming. 8. A Swedish startup wants to become “Spotify for e-sports.” Swedish startup G:loot wants to bring e-sports to the masses and make sure anybody, anywhere, can rake in real prize money “in the skill-based games they already play and love.”
9. Startup ThoughtSpot’s funding reaches $160M, aimed at Tableau Software in $70B market. Five year-old Palo Alto startup ThoughtSpot raised another $60 million taking its total funding to date to $160 million.
