Mark Cuban-backed startup ‘Cultivate’ helps you buy American-made products on Amazon
Mark Cuban does not need any introduction. For those of you who don’t him, Mark Cuban is an American billionaire businessman and investor. He is the owner of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Dallas Mavericks. He is also one of the main “shark” investors on the ABC reality television series, Shark Tank. We’ve written about some of his startup investments.
Recently, Mark Cuban recently invested in Cultivate, a new online tech startup that aims to help consumers find U.S.-made products while shopping online. Cultivate is on a mission to make it easier for consumers to shop American made or manufactured goods and grow small and medium sized businesses for a better future. Through its website or Google Chrome browser-extension, Cultivate shows results from American companies on Amazon, even when searching through a different storefront.
We first learned about Cultivate after Cuban posted a tweet about the company. “Check out one of our startups, http://wecultivate.us (@WeCultivateUS) to support made or manufactured in the USA products – it’s an easy to use desktop chrome extension that helps you buy Made in the USA. Where and how you spend your $’s matters more than your opinion!,” Cuban said in a tweet.

Cultivate’s primary focus is on Amazon offerings, filtering results from the largest e-commerce platform in the world. The Chrome plug-in offers added functionality, as it can give users a look at similar, U.S.-made products available on Amazon when they search through many other storefronts, like Target or Best Buy.
Cultivate was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic with a mission to help businesses that are making or manufacturing goods locally generate more sales, which translate to local economic growth and more jobs for our families, friends, and neighbors.Over 40 million jobs have been lost to no fault of our citizens, and this is a simple yet impactful way we can all help.Cultivate is on a mission to grow local businesses and bring manufacturing back home.
