Beoncam: Capture 360-degree content from your wrist
When you’re caught in the middle of the action, there’s usually no time to reach for your smartphone to capture the moment with your camera. That’s why the Beoncam 360-degree Wrist Camera was made for the active, always-on-the-go individual who wants to take photos and videos at a moment’s notice. Like any other smartwatch, it quietly sits on your wrist, waiting for you to tap its 360-degree camera that can shoot photos and videos that are even compatible with virtual reality viewing, and can live stream to your favorite online services with a simple touch of a button.
Touted as the world’s first detachable 360-degree panoramic camera in a smartwatch, the Beoncam offers a one-touch system that enables you to capture moments in an instant, without the need to pull your smartphone, tablet, or any other camera from your bag or pocket. By harnessing the simplicity of a wrist wearable and the advanced technologies of 360-degree cameras, anyone can enjoy an always-on photo capture and video recording experience that effectively mixes the capabilities of an active outdoor camera and a smartphone.
Housed inside the splash-resistant circular watch chassis is the 5-megapixel panoramic camera lens with a wide 190-degree field of view, a microphone, a speaker, and a long-lasting lithium-ion polymer battery. Its long battery life is made possible with a custom-built system-on-a-chip (SoC) that incorporates efficient power management, resulting in up to four days of standby time or three hours of continuous video recording. As a watch, it can display the time in a digital fashion through the LCD display that’s legible even under broad daylight. Built-in 8GB of non-expandable internal storage allows for approximately 7,000 stills and three hours of continuous video.
Beoncam can be detached from the wrist strap, letting you attach the camera to your bike or a tripod. This flexibility in control lets you capture 360-degree photos and videos from other perspectives, such as during your outdoor activities like biking and swimming. When detached, Beoncam can be controlled using the Beoncam app for iOS and Android devices. The app allows you to remotely control the camera to capture and view photos and videos, as well as easily share your captures moments with family and friends. It wirelessly connects via either a Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi connection using your device’s personal hotspot.
Beoncam aims to bridge the gap between your smartphone and an outdoor camera through its essential features that allow you to take photos and videos in an instant. It carries the ease of use of a wrist-wearable device and the fun of shooting 360-degree content anywhere and anytime.
