REAL Finance’s $ASSET MiCA Whitepaper Listed in ESMA Register, Expanding Reach Across 30 EEA Markets
REAL Finance’s $ASSET has been listed in the European Securities and Markets Authority’s Interim MiCA Register, giving the token a standardized disclosure reference across 30 European Economic Area markets as crypto projects face a more structured regulatory regime in Europe.
Real Technologies Inc., the issuer of $ASSET and operator behind the REAL Finance network, filed its MiCA whitepaper under Title II of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation, known as MiCA. The notification creates a central disclosure record that exchanges, financial institutions, and other market participants can use when evaluating the token.
The distinction matters. Inclusion in ESMA’s register does not mean European regulators have approved or endorsed $ASSET. MiCA whitepapers for crypto assets covered under Title II are notified rather than approved by regulators. Real Technologies acknowledges that distinction in its disclosure, noting that individual trading platforms still make their own listing decisions.
What the registration does provide is a common regulatory reference across the EEA, reducing the fragmented country-by-country disclosure process that historically made European crypto expansion harder to manage.
The development comes shortly after $ASSET secured a listing on Kraken in Europe. The token has traded on Kraken, KuCoin, and MEXC since April 2026. Taken together, the moves show REAL Finance building both the trading and regulatory infrastructure needed to reach a broader European market.
REAL Finance targets Europe’s tokenization market
REAL Finance is building an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain focused on bringing real-world financial assets on-chain. The company says it plans to tokenize more than €3.5 billion in assets through its European ecosystem.
That puts the company inside one of crypto’s biggest institutional bets: tokenizing traditional financial assets such as securities, funds, credit, and other investment products. Europe’s MiCA framework is creating clearer rules around crypto issuance and trading, while financial firms are testing blockchain-based versions of traditional assets.
REAL Finance has been working with regulated financial partners, including Austria’s Wiener Privatbank, on custody and structuring.
” Being listed in ESMA’s Interim MiCA Register gives institutions and exchanges a single, transparent reference for evaluating $ASSET instead of thirty separate national processes. It’s a foundational step for how we want to operate in Europe,” said Ivo Grigorov, CEO of REAL Finance.
For exchanges, the value of the ESMA entry is less about receiving a regulatory stamp and more about having standardized information available through Europe’s central MiCA framework. Exchanges still have to conduct their own reviews before deciding whether to support $ASSET.
REAL Finance has raised $29 million from investors including Nimbus Capital, Magnus Capital, and Frekaz Group.
The timing could prove significant. Crypto companies spent years treating European expansion as a collection of national markets with different regulatory expectations. MiCA is replacing much of that fragmentation with a common framework across the bloc.
For REAL Finance, the ESMA listing puts $ASSET inside that framework at a moment when the company is trying to turn its European ambitions into actual market distribution. The Kraken EU listing provided one piece of that equation. The MiCA disclosure now adds the regulatory reference behind it.
