OpenAI unveils O1: the smartest AI model yet, plus ChatGPT Pro for power users at $200/month

Just three months after rolling out a new line of AI models designed to process information more thoughtfully, OpenAI has introduced O1. Described as “the smartest model in the world,” O1 is not only faster but also packed with new features, including multimodality. Alongside the launch, OpenAI has unveiled ChatGPT Pro, a premium subscription plan aimed at power users.

In a post on X, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that the O1 API will soon be available to developers.
