io.net partners with GAIB to boost GPU accessibility and innovation in AI compute
io.net, the top decentralized GPU network, is on a hot streak. Just two weeks after teaming up with ParallelAI to expand decentralized GPU computing for generative AI, io.net has now secured a new strategic partnership with GAIB, the first economic layer powering the future of AI and compute.
Today, io.net announced a major partnership with GAIB to advance shared goals of making GPU computing more accessible and democratized for a wider community of developers and businesses. This partnership also brings together each company’s unique strengths to make GPU computing more accessible and efficient, paving the way for GPU owners to generate new revenue. Initial plans include in-depth tech evaluations, deployment strategies, and joint public campaigns, all aimed at accelerating the adoption of high-performance GPU computing in the AI space.
Building on GAIB’s role as a main GPU supplier in io.net’s decentralized network, this expanded partnership will fuel initiatives around marketing, community outreach, technical integration, and new business opportunities—all aimed at boosting GPU compute accessibility.
“This partnership represents a natural evolution of our existing relationship with GAIB,” said Tausif Ahmed, VP of Business Development at io.net. “Our expertise in decentralized GPU infrastructure, coupled with GAIB’s forward-looking approach to GPU tokenization and financialization, will help unlock exciting new possibilities for both of our communities.”
The collaboration will also focus on several shared goals, from tokenizing GPU compute resources to rolling out joint marketing initiatives and community engagement programs. Both teams also plan to work together on business development, launching campaigns to onboard new users and conducting technology evaluations.
“Working with io.net will allow us to further our mission of making AI compute accessible to literally everyone,” said Kony Kwong, CEO of GAIB. “We are excited to work hand in glove to push the boundaries of what’s possible.”
Founded in late 2023, io.net is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that manages on-demand GPU clusters. Originally created to meet the growing demand for computing power in stock and cryptocurrency trading, io.net has since evolved into a massive network of over 25,000 nodes. This innovative setup offers a scalable alternative to traditional cloud services, reducing both costs and lead times for AI and machine learning projects.
Co-founded by Kony Kwong, GAIB is the economic layer for AI and computing power, enabling anyone to own a stake in the AI ecosystem. GAIB introduces a new asset class for direct investment in AI, GPU, and compute markets, supporting true AiFi, GPU tokenization, GPU-backed stablecoins, derivatives, and more.
By tokenizing GPUs and their yield, GAIB transforms these resources into yield-bearing assets. Its name, inspired by Dune’s concept of ‘the unseen future,’ reflects its three core pillars: GPU, AI, and Financialization. In today’s AI-driven world, GPUs are the assets and compute is the currency—akin to Dune’s spice. GAIB is unlocking access to the trillion-dollar AI and compute market.
