Google’s YouTube, Gmail and Drive services suffer worldwide outage
Another day, another major outage. This time, Google appears to be suffering a worldwide outage that has taken several services including YouTube, Gmail, and Google Drive offline.
The outage affected millions of Google customers around the world. As of writing, Google’s main site, Google.com is not affected by the outage. According to Down Detector, a website that provides real-time problem and outage monitoring, reported the problems with the platforms spiked at around 6:30 a.m. ET. Google has not yet provided any comments about the cause of the outage.
Several people on social media reported issues with the platforms, with Gmail, YouTube, and Google Drive all showing error messages without further explanation.
