An apartment block in two months
Square Plums’ fully-furnished studio apartments measure around 200 square feet. The startup designs the apartments and then uses contractors to build them. Multiple apartments can be made at the same time and stack easily. This means a 50-apartment complex can be ready for tenants within two months, Attray said. Square Plums currently has two such complexes in the making, the first of which it is aiming to open within the next month. It costs 18,000 rupees ($280) a month to rent one apartment.
