Transak teams up with Sequence to streamline Web3 gaming payments
Life just got a whole lot easier for Web3 gamers as Sequence, Unity’s exclusive Web3-enabled SDK, teamed up with Transak to tackle payment complexities and streamline payments for Web3 games.
In an announcement today, Transak said it has formed a strategic partnership with Sequence. This collaboration aims to empower Sequence and its ecosystem of gaming partners with top-tier Web3 payments and onboarding infrastructure.
The integration will also enable players of Unity-based Web3 games from over 160 countries to purchase cryptocurrencies directly within the gaming platform using more than 20 local payment methods. By simplifying the process of acquiring crypto, this initiative enhances the gaming experience and broadens accessibility, making it easier than ever for gamers worldwide to dive into the Web3 ecosystem.
Sequence, a leading development platform in the Web3 gaming space, offers a comprehensive suite of tools and services designed to simplify the integration of Web3 features into games. On the other hand, Transak is renowned for its Web2-to-Web3 infrastructure solutions, including Fiat Onramp/Offramp, NFT Checkout, multi-level KYC, and fiat-to-smart contract products.
As the exclusive on-ramp provider for the Sequence Kit, Transak’s advanced infrastructure is now operational, allowing users to purchase cryptocurrencies directly within the Sequence platform using over 20 local payment methods across more than 160 countries. Additionally, the Sequence Unity SDK has integrated Transak’s on-ramp functionality, enabling games utilizing Sequence to trigger a pre-configured on-ramp link for players to fund their Sequence Embedded Wallets with fiat currency. The Sequence Unreal Engine SDK is set to receive this feature in the coming weeks.
This integration not only streamlines game and dApp development but also enhances the gaming experience by removing the complexities associated with blockchain transactions. Gamers can now focus solely on gameplay without worrying about the intricacies of blockchain technology.
Transak’s infrastructure, purpose-built for high-functioning decentralized applications (dApps) like gaming, ensures smooth and reliable performance even during peak usage times. This compatibility with Sequence’s gaming environment guarantees a seamless experience for players, allowing developers to integrate complex blockchain features without compromising on enjoyment.
“We are thrilled to partner with Sequence and continue to expand our best-in-class payments infrastructure in the world of Web3 gaming. Our shared vision of simplifying blockchain interactions for users aligns perfectly, and we look forward to empowering the next generation of gamers and developers,” said Sami Start, CEO & Co-founder of Transak.
Transak’s infrastructure is built to comply with global regulatory standards, ensuring secure and transparent transactions. This compliance includes KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, providing a safe environment for users.
Sequence leverages Transak’s robust API to integrate on-ramp solutions directly into its developer platform, supporting multiple EVM and non-EVM blockchains including Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain. This multi-chain capability allows Sequence to offer a wide range of cryptocurrencies and payment flows for gamers to purchase and use across the broader Web3 gaming ecosystem.
“Integrating Transak’s payments infrastructure with Sequence is a significant step towards making blockchain gaming more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. This partnership will enable us to offer a frictionless experience to our users, from the moment they leverage Sequence-powered solutions to their in-game transactions,” said Taylan Pince, Chief Technology Officer of Sequence.
Overall, this partnership marks a pivotal moment in the Web3 gaming landscape, paving the way for a more seamless and engaging gaming experience.
