TrueFoundry raises $19M in Series A funding led by Intel Capital to simplify AI infrastructure
With the surge of generative AI, moving machine learning models from development to production has become a bigger challenge. Enterprises face issues like governance, data privacy, and rising infrastructure costs—especially with GPU orchestration and scaling models—which slow down innovation. Now, a San Francisco-based AI infrastructure startup is on a mission to tackle these challenges and simplify AI infrastructure by creating self-sustaining systems where AI manages AI, allowing businesses to focus on innovation.
Enter TrueFoundry, an AI deployment and scaling platform that helps enterprises deploy, manage, and scale AI applications efficiently and securely—without breaking the bank
Today, TrueFoundry announced it has secured $19 million in Series A funding led by Intel Capital. Existing backers Eniac Ventures and Peak XV’s Surge (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA) joined the round, along with new investor Jump Capital and several angel investors, including Gokul Rajaram, Mohit Aron, and executives from Fortune 1000 companies. As part of the deal, Avi Bharadwaj, Investment Director at Intel Capital, will take a seat on TrueFoundry’s board.
“Enterprises using TrueFoundry have built and launched their internal AI platforms in as little as two months, seeing ROI within four months—compared to the industry average of 14 months,” said Nikunj Bajaj, CEO & Co-founder of TrueFoundry. “Our platform integrates smoothly across different clouds, models, and frameworks, preventing vendor lock-in while keeping deployments adaptable to new AI trends like RAGs and Agents.”
TrueFoundry’s platform as a service (PaaS) is designed for enterprise AI/ML teams to build, deploy, and manage large language model (LLM) applications on cloud or on-prem infrastructure. It’s developer-friendly, making AI deployment straightforward for full-stack data scientists to create, test, and scale applications independently. The platform pulls together key AI deployment functions—like model cataloging, fine-tuning, and API deployment—into one system, ensuring secure, efficient operations while bridging the gap between DevOps and MLOps.
This funding comes after a strong year for TrueFoundry, marked by a 4X growth in its customer base, deploying over 1,000 clusters for ML workloads, and securing partnerships with Fortune 500 companies like Siemens Healthineers, Resmed, Automation Anywhere, Games 24×7, and NVIDIA.
Founded in 2021 by Nikunj Bajaj, Anuraag Gutgutia, and Abhishek Choudhary, the San Francisco-based startup focuses on helping enterprise AI/ML teams manage large language model applications with speed, cost-efficiency, and strong governance. The platform simplifies the entire AI deployment process with features like auto-scaling, proactive maintenance, and centralized access controls. TrueFoundry aims to create a self-sustaining AI ecosystem where AI manages AI, boosting speed, scale, and innovation for businesses.
TrueFoundry’s platform has helped customers speed up development, achieve faster business results, save on infrastructure costs, and scale with smaller teams. For instance, it optimized NVIDIA’s GPU usage for LLM workloads by automating resource allocation and job scheduling, reducing idle time, cutting costs, and improving efficiency. Its real-time monitoring and adaptive scaling ensured reliable AI model training and deployment, while seamless integration accelerated iteration and time-to-value.
“TrueFoundry simplifies AI deployment for teams, helping them build, deploy, and scale applications quickly and efficiently,” said Avi Bharadwaj, Investment Director at Intel Capital. “With a strong focus on cost-efficiency, governance, and security, they’re solving key challenges for businesses, and we believe they’re positioned to lead in the growing AI infrastructure space.”
The Series A funding—bringing the company’s total to $21 million—will help TrueFoundry expand its team and boost its go-to-market efforts to attract more customers.
“At TrueFoundry, we’re building a future where AI manages AI—removing human bottlenecks and achieving unmatched speed and scale,” said Abhishek Choudhary, CTO & Co-founder of TrueFoundry. “Our platform handles infrastructure with auto-scaling, smart maintenance, and proactive issue detection to ensure smooth operations. By centralizing model access, cost tracking, and maintaining strict data privacy, we guarantee security and compliance, empowering businesses to deploy AI effortlessly and efficiently at scale.”
Looking ahead, TrueFoundry plans to redefine AI deployment with its AI Agent—a proactive, self-sustaining system that anticipates and adapts. By automating workflows, optimizing resources, and resolving potential issues before they arise, the AI Agent helps enterprises deploy smarter, scale faster, and achieve results with greater efficiency.
