President Trump doubles down on antimalaria drugs Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and Azithromycin even as FDA and CDC fail to help Americans suffering from coronavirus
Everyone is talking about antimalaria drugs Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and Azithromycin as potential drugs for the treatment of coronavirus. However, the do-nothing FDA and CDC have failed Americas by failing to work with researchers in Europe to offer alternatives therapies to treat COVID-19 patients.
Today on Twitter, U.S. President Trump steps up his effort to tout the two anti-malaria drugs as coronavirus ‘game changer despite skepticism from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other government officials.
In a tweet Saturday morning, President Trump said: “HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE & AZITHROMYCIN, taken together, have a real chance to be one of the biggest game changers in the history of medicine. The FDA has moved mountains – Thank You! Hopefully they will BOTH (H works better with A, International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents)…..”
President Trump also cited the study published in International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents that shows the two drugs to be showing promising results.
