KuCoin Web3 Wallet brings Ondo tokenized stocks to crypto, adding 260+ U.S. equities and ETFs
KuCoin is moving deeper into tokenized finance, bringing a slice of Wall Street directly into a crypto wallet. The crypto exchange said its Web3 Wallet has integrated Ondo Global Markets, opening access to more than 260 tokenized assets tied to traditional markets. That includes U.S. stocks and ETFs, now available in a self-custodial wallet without the usual brokerage layer.
The shift reflects a broader change already underway. Real-world assets are gaining traction onchain, and wallets are starting to look less like simple storage tools and more like full access points to financial markets. KuCoin’s latest move leans into that idea, placing crypto assets, perpetual trading, and tokenized securities side by side within a single interface.
Why tokenized stocks are moving from hype to real utility
For users, the appeal is straightforward. Instead of jumping across platforms, they can view and manage crypto alongside familiar names like Nvidia, Apple, Tesla, Microsoft, and Amazon, as well as ETFs tied to gold, silver, and the Nasdaq. Access is available directly within the wallet, with support for Ethereum and BNB Chain, and trading generally follows a 24/5 cycle aligned with U.S. markets.
Gas Meng, Lead of KuCoin Web3 Wallet Operation, said, “This integration reflects our broader view of what a wallet should become: not only a tool for custody and connectivity, but a trusted access point to a wider range of on-chain financial opportunities. By bringing tokenized U.S. securities into KuCoin Web3 Wallet, we are giving users a more unified experience where crypto assets and traditional finance-linked assets can be accessed side by side, with self-custody remaining at the center.”
“With over 260 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs now accessible directly in KuCoin’s Web3 Wallet, millions of crypto-native users can expand their onchain portfolio to include the same equities they’d find on traditional brokerages. What once required a brokerage account is now available to everyone,” Min Lin, Managing Director, Global Business Development, Ondo Finance, added.
Each token is backed by the underlying stock or ETF, plus cash in transit, providing users with economic exposure rather than direct share ownership. That structure has become a common model for tokenized securities, aiming to mirror traditional assets while keeping them accessible through blockchain infrastructure.
For KuCoin, the integration builds on its push to expand what users can do without leaving the wallet. It follows the rollout of in-wallet perpetual trading and adds another layer of functionality, blending crypto-native activity with traditional market exposure.
The direction is clear. Wallets are increasingly absorbing more of the financial stack, and tokenized assets are becoming a key part of that shift. KuCoin is betting that users want fewer barriers between crypto and traditional markets, and a single place to manage both.
