KuCoin launches Tomorrowland Winter 2026 activations, bringing ‘Guided Into the Future’ to the Alps
KuCoin is heading to the French Alps with a clear message: crypto wants a place in culture, not just on trading screens. The exchange is rolling out its first on-site activations at Tomorrowland Winter 2026, marking the start of a broader global partnership with the festival brand.
The week-long event runs March 21–28 in Alpe d’Huez, where more than 24,000 attendees are expected each day. The lineup features names like Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, Lost Frequencies, and Dimitri Vegas. For KuCoin, the setting offers more than visibility—it’s a chance to meet a global audience in a shared physical space and tie its identity to music, travel, and community.
This push builds on KuCoin’s previously announced partnership with Tomorrowland through 2028. The company is framing the effort as a cultural bridge, linking digital assets with experiences people can see and feel. At a time when crypto firms are looking to rebuild trust and expand their reach, that framing matters.
“Trust is the foundation of every thriving community,” said BC Wong, CEO of KuCoin. “Tomorrowland has built one of the most vibrant global communities through music and creativity. At KuCoin, we believe the future of digital finance should be built on the same principles of openness, collaboration, and trust. Our presence at Tomorrowland Winter reflects our commitment to connecting technology with culture and empowering global communities.”
KuCoin Brings Its Festival Strategy to the Slopes
KuCoin’s presence at the festival centers on three experiences spread across the mountain. The most visible element is a roaming group called the KuCoin Guardians. Comprising performers and brass musicians, they move through the festival grounds, guiding attendees to different activations. The concept borrows from Tomorrowland’s tradition of “guides,” turning an abstract idea—trust—into something people can see in motion.
During the day, KuCoin will host sessions near the Frozen Lotus stage at La Folie Douce, a well-known gathering spot on the slopes. DJs will take over the space from midday through late afternoon, creating an après-ski scene that blends music with brand presence. The goal is simple: be where people naturally gather.
At night, the focus shifts to the main festival area. KuCoin’s Base Point installation will run from evening into midnight, featuring motion-tracking visuals and interactive displays built for photos and video. It’s designed for sharing, with visuals that echo the company’s signature green branding.
Why KuCoin Is Betting on Culture to Build Trust
Tomorrowland’s rise over the past two decades gives KuCoin a powerful stage. The festival draws hundreds of thousands of attendees across its editions and reaches millions more through broadcasts and digital channels. Its winter edition adds a travel component, attracting an international crowd willing to cross borders for the experience.
KuCoin’s move reflects a broader pattern in crypto. Exchanges are stepping outside traditional marketing channels and into global events, where attention is harder to win but more meaningful when captured. The bet is that culture can carry trust further than ads alone.
Founded in 2017, KuCoin says it serves more than 40 million users across 200 countries and regions. The platform offers access to over 1,000 tokens, along with spot and futures trading, institutional services, and a Web3 wallet. The company holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certifications, and has secured regulatory approvals, including AUSTRAC registration in Australia and a MiCA license in Austria.
In the Alps this March, KuCoin isn’t just showing up with a logo. It’s testing whether crypto can feel at home in places where people come for something entirely different—and whether that connection can last beyond the music.
