Roper Technologies to acquire healthcare software startup CentralReach for $1.65 billion

Roper Technologies is acquiring healthcare-focused software startup CentralReach from Insight Partners for about $1.65 billion, the company announced on Monday. The move deepens Roper’s push into vertical software as it looks to offset slower enterprise spending and delayed contract renewals.
“CentralReach meets each of our long-standing acquisition criteria, while also having a structurally faster organic growth profile and the ability to expand margins under Roper’s long-term ownership,” said Roper CEO Neil Hunn. He also highlighted CentralReach’s strong position in a niche market and its high mix of recurring revenue.
Backed by Insight Partners, CentralReach builds software tools for therapists working with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. The platform supports care providers with scheduling, clinical documentation, data collection, and billing—key operational areas for therapy practices.
Roper expects the acquisition to add about $175 million in revenue and $75 million in EBITDA in the 12 months ending June 30, 2026.
The company has been steadily expanding its cloud-based software portfolio. We featured Roper last year after it acquired Procare Solutions, which serves early childhood education centers, and Transact Campus for $1.5 billion to expand its education business.
Roper has forecast more than 10% revenue growth this year, ahead of analysts’ expectations of 9.6%, according to LSEG data. The CentralReach deal is expected to close in April or May 2025, Reuters reported.
Transact Campus offers payment, identification, and commerce services to improve campus life, and it will be integrated with Roper’s CBORD business, which specializes in nutrition, security, and campus commerce services.
Roper Technologies is known for developing engineered products and solutions for niche markets. The company operates across three main areas: application software, network software, and technology-enabled products.
Founded in 1890, Roper began as a manufacturer of home appliances and industrial products. Over the years, the company has grown through acquisitions and strategic shifts, establishing itself as a leader in its industry with a solid history of growth and profitability.
