io.net partners with ParallelAI to boost decentralized GPU computing for generative AI
Just a few weeks after teaming up with Phala Network to drive secure computation and decentralized AI, GPU cloud network io.net has secured another major collaboration, this time with ParallelAI, a leader in parallel processing optimization for AI developers.
Today, io.net announced a strategic partnership with ParallelAI to strengthen decentralized compute capabilities for generative AI. This collaboration will integrate io.net’s decentralized GPU compute with ParallelAI’s platform, enhancing its capacity to handle large-scale AI tasks.
By incorporating io.net’s decentralized GPU infrastructure into the ParallelAI ecosystem, the partnership is set to elevate scalable, efficient computing. This collaboration allows developers to easily access, optimize, and run code on a decentralized platform. With the flexibility to choose GPU resources based on specific workload needs, developers can achieve greater cost-efficiency and enhanced performance.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with @ionet. By integrating io.net’s decentralized GPU infrastructure into the $PAI ecosystem, we’re taking scalable and efficient computing to the next level,” ParallelAI said in a post on X.
Through partnering with io.net, ParallelAI will gain access to additional GPU compute power, specifically through IO Cloud’s A100s. This expanded capacity will allow ParallelAI to scale its platform, enabling AI developers to perform tasks like large language model (LLM) training, running inferences, and distributed deep learning more efficiently.
The partnership also includes a joint focus on research and development, combining both companies’ strengths to push the boundaries of GPU cloud computing and set new performance and efficiency standards.
ParallelAI is known for helping developers speed up AI innovation by allowing them to focus on high-level code while ParallelAI manages the parallel processing across multiple GPUs and CPUs. This process can reduce computation time by up to 20 times and significantly cut costs.
With access to decentralized GPU clusters via IO Cloud, ParallelAI can now scale its operations without running into service slowdowns or disruptions. This means its clients will have reliable access to the computing power they need for demanding AI tasks while enjoying cost savings of up to 90% compared to traditional cloud providers.
Together, the two companies are shaping a future built on decentralized and scalable computing. Developers can write, refine, and deploy code seamlessly, with quick access to computing power through ParallelAI and io.net.
This partnership will help ParallelAI expand its reach in the AI and machine learning space, without the need for heavy investments in hardware and infrastructure. It also opens the door to new innovations in decentralized AI, as io.net and ParallelAI work together to create technologies that could power the next generation of AI solutions.
ParallelAI, on the other hand, focuses on optimizing compute resource usage with its advanced AI platform. Designed for businesses dealing with performance bottlenecks, it leverages parallel processing techniques to improve efficiency, enabling companies to achieve more with less infrastructure.
Founded in late 2023, io.net is a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) that manages on-demand GPU clusters. Originally created to meet the growing demand for computing power in stock and cryptocurrency trading, io.net has since evolved into a massive network of over 25,000 nodes. This innovative setup offers a scalable alternative to traditional cloud services, reducing both costs and lead times for AI and machine learning projects.
