Israeli in-game ad startup Odeeo closes $5 million in funding to accelerate global expansion
Israeli tech startup Odeeo has secured $5 million in strategic funding to fuel the global growth of its in-game audio advertising platform. The funding round includes support from both returning and new investors, with Atinum Investments, one of Korea’s top early-stage investment firms, joining existing backers Play Ventures and Anton Gauffin to help drive Odeeo’s international expansion.
This $5 million investment aligns with Odeeo’s push into key markets, particularly North America. As part of this effort, Co-Founder and President Elad Stern has relocated from Tel Aviv to New York to strengthen the U.S. team. He joins VP of Marketing Dan Feldstein, Commercial Lead James Kowan, and Agency Sales Lead Kathleen Verdugo, all based in the U.S.
The funding follows Odeeo’s recent expansion into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region through a partnership with Evolution Media Group. Additionally, Odeeo plans to collaborate with Atinum to bolster its presence in Asian markets, including Korea and Vietnam, building on existing partnerships in Japan.
The in-game advertising space has gained significant traction over the past two years among brands, agencies, and publishers. Odeeo views the U.S. market as crucial to the adoption of in-game audio solutions, aiming to connect with some of the world’s largest advertisers and agencies, many of which are already clients.
Founded in 2021 by ad tech veterans, Odeeo focuses on creating opportunities for publishers to tap into one of the fastest-growing segments of marketing spend, while enabling advertisers to reach mobile audiences at scale. Based in Tel Aviv, Odeeo has a rapidly expanding team across Europe and the U.S., with backing from prominent investors like Play Ventures and Heracles.
Commenting on the funding, Sang-Ho Park, Managing Director of Atinum Investments, said:
“Atinum is committed to discovering companies with strong growth potential, and Odeeo fits that profile perfectly. Odeeo’s blend of technology, talent, traction, and scalability makes it a great addition to our portfolio.”
Odeeo CEO and Co-Founder Amit Monheit expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, adding, “We’re thrilled to welcome Atinum Investments to the Odeeo family. Their expertise in gaming and tech, combined with their significant presence in one of gaming’s largest markets, will be instrumental in meeting the growing global demand for our in-game audio solutions.”
Elad Stern, now leading Odeeo’s U.S. operations, added, “In-game audio has become increasingly mainstream, with the U.S. market being critical to its adoption. I’m excited to establish our first American office in New York and work with our U.S. team to bring in-game audio solutions to top advertisers and agencies. We have strong leadership in place and plan to invest further to educate the market and promote in-game audio in the coming months.”
