Seattle-based startup ITpipes raises $20M to help cities streamline pipeline inspections
Seattle-based ITpipes, a software startup that helps cities manage the maintenance of underground assets like sewer and storm systems, has secured $20 million in funding from Trilogy Search Partners of Seattle and Dallas-based Miramar Equity Partners.
ITpipes provides software that simplifies the collection, analysis, and management of pipeline inspections. The platform is used for a variety of underground assets, including sewer lines, storm drains, manholes, culverts, laterals, and tunnels. Over 300 municipalities currently rely on ITpipes for their infrastructure management needs.
“We’re backing ITpipes because of its solid market performance and the significant potential its technology has to improve community infrastructure nationwide,” said Aaron Perrine, managing partner at Trilogy Search Partners, in an interview with Geekwire, which first reported the investment.
Much of the U.S. water infrastructure dates back to the post-World War II era or earlier, highlighting the need for modern solutions like those offered by ITpipes.
Originally founded in Albuquerque in 2009, ITpipes is now based in Seattle. The company, which has a team of 60, is led by CEO Ned Bebawy, who joined last year after serving as COO of AutoLeap.
According to its website, ITpipes transforms the way cities handle pipeline inspections. The software helps municipalities streamline operations and improve asset performance by integrating inspection data into an intuitive system, making it easier for users to make well-informed decisions and boost efficiency.
