Lucem Health lands $7.7M in funding led by Mayo Clinic to transform healthcare delivery using clinical AI
Lucem Health is a North Carolina-based health tech startup changing the game in healthcare delivery by utilizing cutting-edge clinical AI technology to provide reliable, useful, and practical point-of-care solutions.
The two-year-old startup connects data scientists who develop predictive AI models and clinicians who deliver front-line patient care to ensure patients receive the most advanced treatment available while simplifying the process for healthcare providers.
To further grow its solution portfolio and expand its sales and marketing capacity, Lucem Health announced today that it has closed $7.7 million in Series A funding led by Mayo Clinic, Granger Management, and Mercy (St Louis). The latest round builds on Lucem Health’s seed funding and includes financing from existing investor Rally Ventures. Lucem Health will also use the fresh capital infusion to advance the development of its platform for clinical AI solution deployment.
Founded in 2021, Lucem Health partners with clinical AI innovators to transform complex data into innovative, trustworthy solutions that can detect diseases earlier and optimize care delivery. By doing so, they have a positive impact on patient lives and improve the physician and provider experience. Ultimately, their work leads to better outcomes for all involved.
“AI has tremendous potential to transform and augment how physicians and providers practice medicine, make decisions and serve their patients. Yet, so far, we have barely scratched the surface of AI’s potential in healthcare,” said Sean Cassidy, founding CEO of Lucem Health. “We started Lucem Health to accelerate the integration of powerful AI-generated insights into care delivery workflows in a thoughtful, responsible way. In a challenging market for raising capital, we appreciate our investors’ confidence and support.”
Lucem Health recently introduced a new suite of solutions called Lucem Health Reveal, designed to identify patients who may be at a higher risk of developing serious or chronic diseases.
By analyzing clinical data that is already available, these solutions uncover hidden insights that can help doctors and healthcare providers deliver better care and improve health outcomes for their patients. At the same time, these insights can also bring greater financial value to healthcare organizations, making Lucem Health Reveal a win-win for all involved.
