Masks Made in China now come with WARNING LABELS clearly stating they DO NOT protect against coronavirus; ‘could cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm’
Wearing masks in countries like China and Japan is nothing new. However, here in the United States, wearing masks has become a controversial issue. As Americans, we love our freedom. It was the pursuit of freedom that drove the Founding Fathers here to this great country. As such, we will not allow any government, politicians, or health officials to take our freedom away, all under the disguise of unproven science.
Yes, many studies suggest that masks or face covering do indeed reduce the spread of coronavirus. Wearing a face mask is expected to protect you and others from the spread of the coronavirus. However, there is no 100 percent proof that masks protect anyone from getting COVID-19. For now, scientists and researchers found that masks still do not provide full protection against COVID-19.
According to WHO, the particle size of COVID-19 infection spreading respiratory droplets is 2.5 microns (2.5μm). However, the smallest particle that can be successfully stopped by a cloth mask: 100-200 microns. So, the use of a cloth mask in stopping a particle 100 times smaller than the fabric weave is non-existent. Below is how WHO describes COVID-19 particle size:
Respiratory infections can be transmitted through droplets of different sizes: when the droplet particles are >5-10 μm in diameter they are referred to as respiratory droplets, and when then are <5μm in diameter, they are referred to as droplet nuclei. According to current evidence, COVID-19 virus is primarily transmitted between people through respiratory droplets and contact routes.
But while we’re all busy debating about the effectiveness of masks and face covering in slowing the spread of coronavirus, not many people are paying attention to the country of origin of the masks they use. For example, more than half of the medical masks in the world are made in China. According to some estimates, fewer than 5% masks made here.
Coronavirus originated from Wuhan, China in December 2019. Also, a majority of the non-surgical masks we use in the United originated from China. Now, China is looking to cash in and make billions selling masks that even the manufacturers say don’t protect against coronavirus.
A careful look at the back of a box of masks made in China reveals two things: Chinese-made masks offer no protection against coronavirus or any other virus. Second, the masks also come with a warning saying “the mask can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.”
Below is the first warning label:
This device is not for medical or hospital use, and is intended for personal consumer only. This device has not been industry tested nor has it been NICSH approved. The decision to use this device is solely your own. There is no express or implied guarantee for any virus protection”
While the packaging states unequivocally, that the product will keep you safe during flu and virus season, when it arrives it specifically indicates that it is NOT protection against a virus.
The second warning label reads:
This packaging can expose you to chemicals including lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.
Just to be clear, the mask includes an additional warning label that reads:
WARNING -THIS PRODUCT IS AN EARLOOP MASK. IT IS NOT A RESPIRATOR AND IT WILL NOT PROVIDE ANY PROTECTION AGAINST COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) OR OTHER OTHER VIRUSES OR CONTAMINANTS. User is solely responsible for the selection of appropriate personal protective equipment for the setting and application. Change immediately if contaminated. Single Use Only.
“
In the meantime, the political fact-checker site, PolitiFact, has now become the “authority” to fact check medical information. Below is what the site says:
“Mask box label is legitimate, but people are misinterpreting it.”
PolitiFact is basically saying the mask box label information is true, but Americans are not educated enough to understand the label warnings on their own. This is further proof of the politicization of science for political gain.
